Donna O’Toole Sedor Named Executive Director of the ARC of LuZerne County

Donna Sedor, a seasoned non-profit executive, has been named Executive Director of The Arc of Luzerne County, according to Ed Ciarimboli, President of the Board of Directors.

Donna has extensive experience with nonprofits which includes serving as the Director of Development for the Women’s Resource Center, Director of Development for the Wyoming Valley Children’s Association and Vice President of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce. She also worked in the Public Relations area of C-TEC Corporation (Now Frontier Communications). “Donna’s blend of business, non-profit, fundraising, and leadership experiences are a perfect fit to lead The Arc into the future,” according to Ciarimboli.

Donna holds a degree in Communications from Wilkes University and studied Organizational Management at Misericordia University, A certified Chamber of Commerce Executive and a graduate of the US Chamber’s Institute of Organizational Management at the University of Delaware/Newark, she received the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber’s ATHENA award, the Northeastern Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Woman in Business award, The Times Leader’s Great Women in NEPA honor, and the Wilkes University Adjunct Faculty award for her work teaching students the fundamentals of Public Speaking. Donna worked with employers throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania and was instrumental in the founding of Circle 200 – an organization for executive women in NEPA. She has served as president and a member of the Rotary Club of Wilkes-Barre, and has served on the Boards of community organizations including the Osterhout Library, Leadership Wilkes-Barre, and the Greater Federation of Women’s Clubs – West Side.
